The First European Air Traffic Controller Selection Test (FEAST) is a professional set of psychometric tests used for the recruitment and selection of trainee Air Traffic Control (ATC) candidates. Being specifically designed for ATC selection, FEAST improves the quality of decisions made by ATC recruiters. 

FEAST is run and managed as a service by EUROCONTROL – the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. The online testing system is supplied to accredited Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and ATC training organisations (known as FEAST Users). 

The FEAST Service is currently in use in 48 ANSPs in 37 countries.  Since 2004 over 70.000 candidates completed the FEAST selection tests. 

These tests assess the knowledge, skills and abilities which are relevant for the job of air traffic controller. They comprise tests of skills and cognitive abilities, an English language test, and multi-tasking tests. 

The trainee will support the day-to-day activities of the FEAST Service.

Main responsibilities:

* Supporting test development and validation. 

* Contributing to research studies and performing statistical analyses on various subjects concerning European ATCO selection;  

* Support and participation in the day-to-day activities of the FEAST Service, including regular support to the FEAST customers. 

* Participation to FEAST training courses.

Preferred profile:       

* Already holding or about to obtain an MSc in psychology.

* Interest in Human Resource Management, Human Factors and IT.

* Good communication skills (written/oral).       

* Ability to work in a team whilst at the same time being able to work independently. 

The working languages of the Agency are English and French.

For this particular post, candidates must have an excellent command of English.

Desired duration Starting preferably in September 2017 for a period of 6-12 months.

Eligibility Candidates should have the nationality of one of the EUROCONTROL or ECAC Member States.

Trainees receive a monthly flat-rate allowance and reimbursement of travel expenses.
