Dear EAAP members! The organizing committee has the pleasure to invite you to submit to the 15th IFAC Human-Machine Systems Symposium, endorsed by IFIP/IFORS/IEA, which will be held at San José State University, San José, California, September 12-15, 2022 It would be wonderful to see you there, and I encourage you to submit!! Submissions are currently being accepted for Papers (up to 6 pages), Session proposals (including panel sessions), and Posters. Please take note of the following extended deadlines: Draft Paper, Posters, and session submission deadline: April 25th, 2022 The objective of the symposium is to provide an international forum for the latest scientific and technological achievements in Human-Machine Systems research and Human Factors. The role of the human is important in a wide-range of applications in the domains of intelligent and autonomous systems, autonomous driving, urban air mobility, robotics, virtual reality, and healthcare, requiring advanced solutions for efficient and safe human-machine interaction. The symposium aims to bring together researchers in the field and provide opportunities to exchange ideas and results and develop a vision for future research. Peer-review accepted papers will be published, in partnership with Elsevier, the IFAC Publisher, in the IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted at the ScienceDirect web service. In addition, presented papers will be further screened for possible publication in special issues of IFAC and affiliated journals. Hybrid Conference Mode: At the current time, a hybrid conference mode will be offered to participants via our dedicated conference virtual platform to increase flexibility. The conference organizers are monitoring the public health situation closely. Any updates to the conference mode will be shared via the conference website in a timely manner. Conference location: We are excited to share that the conference will be held in the fantastic location of the heart of Silicon Valley, San José, California. NASA Ames is within 20 minutes of our location, as are multiple industries including Joby aviation, Uber, Google, Amazon, and Meta. Located 5 hours north of Los Angeles, and approximately 40 minutes south of San Francisco, San José is close to beaches, wineries, the famous Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe. Common activities include hiking, watersports, and wine tasting. We look forward to welcoming you to IFAC HMS in San José, California in September 2022!
